During the winter season of July to October, guests may even be treated to a special show put on by the humpback whales who frequent the area, breaching and playing in the warm waters!

Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet
Whitehaven Beach attracts thousands of people to Australia every year who come to play and relax on the beautiful silica sands and swim in the calm shallow waters. As one of the most famous beaches in the world, it is the third most photographed place in Australia! Guided by your crew, you will take a short bushwalk up to Hill Inlet Lookout, where you will get to see the unforgettable view from above. The sands of Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet are never the same twice, with unique swirling patterns that will take your breath away. Relax on Whitehaven Beach itself, enjoy the silica sands up close, and keep your eye out for stringrays and baby lemon sharks as they flit through the warm sunny waters. You can take time to sunbathe, swim, relax or walk along the soft sands, letting the surf take all your worries away!

Snorkelling
The Whitsunday Islands are home to some of the most colourful and diverse corals in the world. On board Whitsunday Blue you will get to experience the magic of this underwater paradise for yourself as you snorkel and swim in the protected bays and coves. Your crew will guide you to the best places and educate you on the local marine life to ensure you make the most of your snorkelling experience. This trip is ideal for both first time and experienced snorkellers with a qualified crew who are there to help you learn and have an amazing time in the water. Flotation devices are available to make your experience more enjoyable and more comfortable. Keep an eye out for clownfish, sea turtles, reef sharks and giant Maori Wrasse!

Stand-up paddleboards
Stand-up paddleboards allow for a great view of the surrounding area, a fun way to explore the reef and coastline, and a workout at the same time! Ideal for spotting turtles and other marine life, paddleboards are quickly becoming popular all over the world. Guests are welcome to take Blue's paddleboards for a spin around the boat or reef, enjoying the view as they glide their way around!

No two trips are the same as we take you from one idyllic island location to the next. Your experienced skipper will design your itinerary to escape the crowds and follow the best conditions for sailing, snorkelling and island hopping! The Whitsunday Islands are a sailing and boating paradise with calm waters, beautiful islands, and quiet anchorages for overnight stays. The seemingly endless bays and coves will allow you to explore at length, with each stop more picturesque than the last.

- Any dietary requirements (such as vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free diets and dairy/lactose-free) will need to pay a surcharge of $15 per person per day payable on check in. Kosher and Halal diets are unable to be catered for.
Holiday Surcharges:
- Tours at sea between the 24th of December to the 2nd of January will incur a local payment once-off fee of $20 per person per night, payable direct at check in.
- Tours departing on Easter Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday will incur a once-off fee of $20 per person per night, payable direct at check in.

Excess luggage can be stored at our Airlie Beach Travel Shop in town. Located at 344 Shute Harbour Road, Airlie Beach, open from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, seven days per week.

Is there a minimum age for passengers on Whitsunday Blue?
The minimum age for passengers on Whitsunday Blue is 18 years old.
Does Whitsunday Blue cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc diets?
Passengers with any dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free etc.) will need to pay a surcharge of $45 per person payable on check in. Please enquire upon booking if unsure.
Is the boat air-conditioned?
No, Whitsunday Blue does not have air-conditioning on board.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
You can certainly bring your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. There will be room to store them in the onboard fridge. Just ensure you are not bringing any glass on board. If you wish to bring red wine, please inform the crew beforehand.
Can I smoke onboard?
You can smoke in the designated smoking area at the back of the boat.
Can I charge my phone onboard?
There are charging ports in all cabins as well as the main saloon area.
Are there hot showers?
Yes, each cabin is ensuite and is fitted with hot showers and a toilet.
Is snorkelling gear provided?
Yes, snorkelling equipment including masks and snorkels are provided on Whitsunday Blue.

Whitsunday Blue departs from Meeting Point C at the Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach. Please refer to your ticket for exact departure location and time.

Yes, there are 2 SUPs on Whitsunday Blue, which are available to use when swimming is permitted.
What are marine blue lights?
Whitsunday Blue is fitted with marine blue lights. When switched on, these lights illuminate the water in the evening and attract marine life like fish, reef sharks and turtles, making for a unique Whitsunday experience!
